Three and a half decades of beauty and human stories.
MAIJA is more than a salon — it’s a space where relationships, careers, confidence, and friendships are born.
Today, we have two owned salons in Riga — at Marta Street 7 and Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 16, with many more franchised locations across Latvia.

Our strength lies in people — in our team, our clients, and our extended family.

2019 — MAIJA turns 30!
We welcomed the day with smiles, memories, and pride.
30 years of beauty, transformations, encounters, and sincerity.
We celebrated with colleagues, clients, and friends — those who had been with us throughout the journey.
Hugs, photos, stories from the past, laughter, and dancing late into the night.
MAIJA 30 wasn’t only about the past — it was about our strength today and the many possibilities ahead.

After our 25th anniversary, a new chapter began.
One of the company’s founders, Andrey Silchenko, stepped away.
Leadership was fully taken over by Andris Slapjums, who had been with MAIJA from the very beginning — with heart, soul, and unwavering dedication.
Under his guidance, MAIJA continued to grow, evolve, and inspire.

2014 — MAIJA celebrates 25 years of beauty, friendship, and trust.
These years were about more than hairstyles and salons — they were about the people who have been with us since day one and are still with us today.
Our stylists, our clients, our shared story.
We are proud of every moment and look to the future with gratitude.

MAIJA becomes a symbol of excellence.
At a time when many were simply “cutting hair,”
we went further.

In 2006, the first MAIJA DELUXE salon opened — on Republikas laukums.
In 2008, the second followed — on Marta Street.

These salons were more than places of appearance care.
They were crafted as experiences — elegant, serene,
with special attention to every detail.
Here, the client felt like a guest of a high-class aesthetic ritual.

These were years not just of expansion — but of moments lived.
We traveled together, learned from the best, laughed, got inspired,
and returned with fresh ideas.
And through it all, it was always about one thing — unity.

2003–2004. MAIJA crosses borders.
Having reached every corner of Latvia, MAIJA moved beyond —
to Lithuania, Estonia, and Scandinavia.
The brand became international.
Quality, care, and elegance were now available beyond our borders.
MAIJA became a symbol of beauty in the Baltics.

By the early 2000s, MAIJA was everywhere.
Franchise salons bloomed like spring flowers —
Purvciems, Jugla, Zolitūde, Pļavnieki, Imanta, Iļģuciems, Tālava, Jelgava, Liepāja, Jūrmala, Saulkrasti…
MAIJA was wherever people were —
Wherever there was a need for style, care, and soul.

Over time, MAIJA continued to grow.
From a single salon on Tallinas street to dozens across Riga and Latvia.
From Brīvības and Stabu to Blaumaņa, Avotu, and Valdemāra —
MAIJA became part of the city’s rhythm.

1995. MAIJA becomes a space of style.
The MAIJA Studio opens, as well as salons on Blaumaņa, Avotu, and Valdemāra streets.
MAIJA turns into a hub of creativity, elegance, and professional artistry.

From day one, MAIJA was more than just a place for a haircut.
It became a space where people began to believe in themselves again.
Where a woman could look in the mirror and say, “Yes. This is me.”
Where a man could trust his look to someone who truly cared.

1989–1994. MAIJA grows and finds its strength.
Salons open on Brīvības and Stabu streets.
A partnership begins with global brand L’Oréal, marking a new chapter of quality and innovation.

Each salon, each chair, each stylist holds stories —
Of love. Of transformation. Of new beginnings.
